Dr. Van

Hello there and Welcome!​ My name is Jonathan Van Hemert and I am a general dentist who welcomes patients of all ages, from young children to those who are advanced in years yet still young at heart. I would love to address your dental and oral health care needs. I am a believer that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. My goal is to keep you healthy and prevent dental disease before it occurs; however, we all know that sometimes things break down or need to be repaired. When that time comes, I will provide you with the highest quality dental care and work with you to provide treatment options that fit both your needs and your goals.
A little about me, I grew up in Iowa and attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. I spent three years in Managua, Nicaragua as a high school math teacher. After this, I returned to school to pursue a career in dentistry. I graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2015. I am passionate about providing high quality health care that meets you where you are, working together to achieve your goals.

I am married to a wonderful woman, Lisa, and have been blessed with three amazing boys – Zeke, Ezra and Vinnie. They are fun loving little guys who keep us on our toes and make sure our home is always full of laughter.
